Another great opening tonight at PRISM gallery in Los Angeles. In the mid-1980s, Warhol made a series of silkscreened black and white works with imagery taken from a cross-section of sources. The paintings are bold representations of advertisements, maps, and illustrations in newspapers and magazines pulled from his scrapbook of ads from the 1950s. A must see if your headed to LA this June. I have to give it up for PC, he’s really been on point with his shows to date. The gallery has definitely made an impact here and I look forward to what is to come.
